About Marian L. Ward

I bring a unique background to the table with experience in the academic and political arenas. After spending about a decade consulting for political campaigns and nonprofits, I shifted her focus back to school. I hold a BA and MA in applied communication and have taught communication courses at the college level for several years.

As time went on, the Lord placed a burden on my heart and opened opportunities for me to shift the sacred into the secular. I was able to start my own women’s small group at my church, the TRIBE for women, in my home. I’ve been able marry classroom facilitation skills to the more intimate setting and engage my secular training skills into direct discipleship.

Additionally, I am working on a startup recovery ministry for women dealing with drug and alcohol addiction called At the Well Women’s Restoration Ranch. If you are interested in knowing more about that ministry, check out atthewellranch.org

I grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast in a little town called Santa Fe, about halfway between Houston and Galveston. After several years in the DC area and New Hampshire, I now get to live near lots of extended family in Haskell, Arkansas, about a half hour south of Little Rock.

I really want you to know I love my shelter mutt, Red Molly, coffee, Pittsburgh Steelers football, and her plethora of nieces and nephews. Recently, I have also become a prolific oil painter in the style of Bob Ross and am having a blast making happy little trees and mountains (you can check out my artwork by clicking The Creative Ward Gallery tab).
